I have disassembled and cleaned the carb, washed out the gas tank, put a new fuel hose from shutoff valve to carb, all the gaskets are in correctly. No issue in year 1. Honda gcv160 engine tapping noise.
Check The Fuel Tank Vent.

The oil that was in it was looking pretty bad, so i only ran the engine for 5 minutes and then changed the oil. All it takes is small piece of trash getting struck on the needle seat to cause a fuel leak. If so, then start with shade's option 1.
Move The Throttle Control Away From “Choke” Once The Engine Is Warm.
